What materials make the Best Pajamas?

Ok, perhaps calling your sleepwear “jammies” is more of a little kid thing, but as long as they do the job, who cares what you call them? What material your sleepwear is made of is by far the most important factor in comfort. These fabrics will be sure to give you such a nice sleep that you will end up wanting to wear them the whole day. If you have a job where you work from home; that is exactly what you will do. If you don’t, you’ll wish you did. Check out this list for the materials that make the best pajamas:

Flannel–It’s not just for lumberjacks these days!
Why should you choose flannel? Here’s a few reasons why: it is usually made from cotton, but can also be made from wool; it’s just so dang comfortable; it’s thick and insulated, making it super warm; it’s breathable, attempting to prevent overheating; machine washing isn’t a problem; and lastly, it’s really strong and durable.

Silk–Yes, it comes from a worm…an amazing little worm.
A little fancier than flannel is silk. Now to list some of its most tempting properties: soft, soft, and even more softness; it’s the strongest fabric in the world; breathable, and a bit more so than flannel; and it can absorb bright colors and it seems to shine.

But, it does have some down sides: if you sweat in it, the fabric tends to become weaker; it can have color fade issues if you iron it; and it’s suggested that you can get away with machine washing cold, though machine drying them isn’t normally suggested.

Cashmere–One of the most elegant sounding names for anything
Not only does it sound fancy, but it actually is: it’s soft and silky; it’s a great insulator; it can be quite stretchy when need be; sweat all you want, this stuff is water resistant; and it tends to drape well.

Unfortunately, it does have a down side; it’s suggested that cashmere be dry-cleaned or hand washed.

Cotton–Yeah, it’s a normal everyday fabric, but it should not be overlooked because it’s a great material for many reasons
An ode to the old classic, here’s why you should consider cotton pajamas: they’re cool, soft and comfortable–it’s a popular material for a reason; it absorbs and releases sweat relatively quick; it’s durable enough to withstand even the most uncomfortable beds; and the best part, it’s machine washable.

That’s it–now you can be knowledgeable and go get yourself some new jammies!
