Feng Shui embraces universal energy to keep positivity flowing throughout clean and clear spaces. It is based on a Chinese system, which balances elements to create and promote harmonious environments. Sleepless nights now get better thanks to Feng Shui’s wisdom with slight bedroom rearrangements and space clearing. Below are top tips to keep the restful energy flowing throughout the bedroom.

Move Electronic Devices
Keep electronics at least 10 feet away from your head. Go for the old-school alarm clocks, but try to keep anything electronic away from the bed as artificial light disrupts the hormone regulation of sleep. This also goes for exercise equipment. Reason being is that these devices carry active energy and disturbs the room’s tranquility.

Remove Under-the-Bed Clutter
Many beds provide storage space or enough room to hide the junk under the bed. The clutter could disrupt the flow of energy and is advisable to remove any clutter from under the bed.

Find a Good Placement for the Bed
It is ideal to have the headboard resting against the wall, without clutter behind it. Bed places are ideal where there is space on each side of the bed, thus promoting energy to move in a circular manner around the bed. Therefore, corner spots are not the best placement.

See the Door
Another bed placement recommendation is to place the bed where you can see the door, but is not directly across from the door’s opening. This allows for feelings of security and relaxation.

Declutter Your Closet
If you have old shoes and clothes that you don’t wear anymore, get rid of the old stuff and leave room for the new. Plus, donating clothes to charity leaves for a good cause; thanks karma.

Paint the Walls
Avoid the color red, which promotes a restless, yet fiery state. Paint with neutral or pastel colors to promote tranquility and peace. Keep the linens and carpet, or rug, within the same color scheme to maximize the color therapy’s potential.
