8 Ideas to Make Your Bedroom Springtime Ready

It’s been a cold one this winter, and with all the hibernation going on, things can get a little drab and dusty when it comes to the bedroom. Luckily, spring is right around the corner, and what better way to usher in the warmth and sunshine with a fresh room revamp and deep clean? Here are 8 ideas to get make your personal space spring time ready.

First: Strip It
Yup, it’s that time of the year again: spring-cleaning ya’ll. Clear out old clothes from the closet, box up winter jackets and boots for storage and deep clean that bedroom from top to bottom like your life depends on it. Spring is all about out with the old, in with the new, so tackle those cobwebs and dusty shelves before diving into décor.

Floral=Spring
When the snow melts and the sun shines that’s when the flowers start to blossom and the earth turns green once again. Celebrate the rebirth of your bedroom by adding pretty floral prints. Make your headboard bloom by simply wrapping a yard of floral fabric around the middle (or really any part of the headboard you desire) for some fabulous spring time flair.

Picture Patterns
Bare bedroom walls are not spring appropriate! It’s time to hang up some cheerful floral (yup, you guessed it) patterns! Purchase two or three basic frames (make sure they match) and cut out cool flower patterned paper to size. Then all you have to do if fill those walls for a striking look. Already have pictures hanging? Change out the current frames with brightly colored ones instead, or even change the pictures displayed.

Look for lighter colors and pretty patterns and change up how you arrange pieces by adding a couple of new accent pieces and adorn pillows with new pillow cases to put some “spring” into your bed!

Spring Time Scents
Those dark, dripping candles were perfect for the long winter months, but now it’s time to invigorate the senses with the arrival of spring. Switch out candles for new ones with different colors and light scents. Even better, add some fragrant flowers to a pretty vase by your bedside.

The Little Things
If you don’t want to go into any extensive changes for your fresh bedroom look then focus on the little things to make an equally impressive impact. Replace lampshades, pillows, throws and curtains with bright colors and patterns. Get creative and place a silky scarf or doily on a flat surface to make your room completely transform.

Let There Be Light
Sunshine and natural light are the epitome of spring, so open those blinds and let the light shine! Add some soft, sheer curtains for an airy feel and maybe even rearrange bedroom furniture to mix it up a bit, positioning your bed near a window to really feel the warmth.
